This is a second version based off the designs of version 1.
I wanted to lighten up the scene a little, use some different imagery, and experiment with different accents.

I wanted to appeal more to the graphic/illustrative side of my abilities in this piece compared to the last. I used some blood splats and some blending modes to capture the effect most similar to that of the movie "300". I did not want to replicate it exactly though, so I added a subtle lightening background w/some scratches.

It's really a toss up between this one and one of your more recent entries as far as a favorite goes. This is the sort of thing I need to learn how to do.

My only real complaint, I think, is that maybe the blood is a little too light, especially on the left side, there might be a little too much, as well. It would be interesting to see how it would look with those things adjusted.

Hmm, change one picture and the graphic elements and it changes the overall feel of the piece, I quite like it.
